The principal tutor holds a BSc honours degree in Mathematics and Education (Cert. Ed) from Loughborough University and, since 1999, has taught students extensively in sixth form colleges and secondary schools based in East Lancashire. Specific levels of Mathematics taught include Key Stage 3, GCSE (Foundation & Higher Tier), AS and A-Level (including Further Mathematics).
The tutor also has widespread experience of teaching adults who have undertaken a variety of courses, necessary for appropriate employment or re-training purposes. These include: Basic Numeracy (Key Skills Application of Number), GCSE resits and Open College (OCNW, 1 year AS-Level equivalent) courses. A substantial amount of tuition has also been delivered to first year undergraduates, who have studied either Pure Mathematics or a Mathematics-related degree course at university.
